Ivy Brooks Obituary

Ivy Whitaker Mason Brooks 106 Ivy Brooks passed away peacefully on Oct. 19, 2006. Born in Bradford, England on March 27, 1900 to Ralph and Mary Jane Whitaker. Married Harry Mason in 1925; he passed away in 1926. Then married Harry Brooks in 1931. They solemnized their love in the Salt Lake Temple, he passed away in 1977. Ivy was a weaver, seamstress and a great cook. She loved to travel and was extremely generous and committed to her family. Ivy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her seven loving sisters and son Fred Mason. She is survived by son Byron Brooks (Connie), daughter-in-law Bertha Mason; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Mon., Oct. 23, 2006, 12 noon at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, where friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery.
