Robert Stonehocker Obituary

Robert Earl Stonehocker
1962 ~ 2017
Our loving, and amazing husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend is now at peace. Robert passed away after a struggle with pancreatic cancer with family by his side on January 22, 2017, in Taylorsville, UT and now our social butterfly is flying high.
Rob was born on March 19th 1962 in Salt Lake City, Utah the second child to Earl & Gayle Stonehocker.
He married the love of his life Holly Moser on June 12th, 1982. He was a truck driver for General Electric for over 27 years and loved all his co-workers like they were family, and would always go above and beyond to help them out.
Everyone that met Rob was always accepted and loved by him, he touched each and everybody's life in one way or another. Rob had one of the most jokingly stubborn senses of humor and was a fun, down to earth person that everyone loved to be around.
Rob loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Nascar fan and really loved spending time with his wife watching races each weekend. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, socializing and always going above and beyond to lend an extra hand. He had a passion for driving truck, keeping his yard as immaculate as possible and his family.
Rob is survived by his wife Holly, daughter and son Brandi & Derl "Spooner" McMeekin, son Cody Earl, father and mother Earl & Gayle, brothers & sisters: Carol (Jeff) Maxwell, Kris (Jeff "Mort") Walton and Chad as well as many extended brothers, sisters, family and friends.
A viewing will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm followed by a memorial service the next day Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing one hour prior at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S State Street, Midvale, UT 84047 which will also be followed by a graveside dedication at the Taylorsville City Cemetery 4575 S Redwood Rd. Taylorsville, UT 84123.

Holly, Brandi, & Cody... Steve and I were very sorry to hear of Rob's passing. I know we were only in each others life for a short time, but you will always have a special place in my heart. I often think about all the fun we had and can't help but smile. Rob was a great guy, the world should have more people like him in it - Steve & Holli Buxton
