I had the high honor to serve with Tim on the George Albert Smith writing committee. I am reminded of his insight, dedication to making sure the writings were correct and his gospel knowledge.
I am a better man knowing and working with him.
Those memories will not be forgotten

I am very sorry to hear of Brother Benedict's passing. He was my junior year of high school Seminary Teacher at Pocatello High. I was the President of the class so I was privileged to serve with him then as well as years later when he served in the Institute Program at UVU. I was a voluntary Institute Instructor. I was thrilled when I first learned that I would be serving under his guidance and always enjoyed our time together. Both as a junior in high school and then again many years later as an adult he had an eternal smile and way of making me always feel better.

As a new convert to the church in 1985 Brother B was the one who literally brought the scriptures to life for me during seminary. He was always so passionate, kind, and happy. I will forever remember his love for teaching and the wonderful impression he made in my life. My love and prayers to the entire family.

I never met Brother Benedict, but in reading his obituary, it appears that he lived a Great Life!
He was a good example and shared the Gospel
in numerous ways.
God Bless his family at this time of departure.
The family will be re-united on the other side in time.
God Bless!!

As a former student of his in the Aberdeen Seminary, I extend my condolences to the family of Bro. Benedict. I have fond memories of the loving and knowledgeable teacher he was and the spirit felt during his seminary class. I am grateful to have had the priveledge of having Bro. Benedict as one of the sources that helped to increase my testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. May your family be blessed at this tender time and the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation bring you comfort.

Oh how I love this man! He was always so kind, caring, and compassionate! I have never met anyone who was more dedicated to serving those around him as Bishop Benedict was. He was always doing good for others and he had the best smile and laugh. He radiated happiness and joy. He had cancer and a lot of people didn't even know about it because he didn't complain or let it get him down. He was very spiritual and listened to the promptings of the Holy Ghost. I will forever be grateful to him for helping us get our family sealed in the temple. If I would have had my way, it would have been done sooner and things wouldn't have worked out so wonderfully. But because he listened to the Spirit and allowed himself to proceed with guidance from Heavenly Father, I didn't get my way in regards to the timing of it and things turned out so much better!!! He was instrumental in bring forth such an Amazing Blessing to my family by doing it the Lord's way!! He lived his life like that. What a beautiful soul Heaven has gained!

To Kay and the entire Benedict family.
There was not a single person that Tim and Kay came in contact with that did not feel of their unconditional love.
While serving as the Bishop of the Hunter 20th Ward, Brother Benedict encouraged all of the members to become as family and to love and assist each other.
I will always be grateful for the friendship, the love, and the example that Brother Benedict gave to me.
He always encouraged me to be the best that I could and to continue with my prayers and studying and efforts to grow in the Gospel.
As a neighbor he always brought friendship and made me welcome when I would go to visit their home. His knowledge of the Gospel and his organizational abilities made it possible for 14 of the ward members to take a once-in-a-lifetime trip to visit Church historical sites last summer before they left on their mission. It was an opportunity for those of us that were on that trip to grow even closer to each other and to forge friendships that will last an eternity while seeing the sights that are so much a part of our Church's history.
May the Lord be with the entire Benedict family at this time to help them all find the peace and comfort in the knowledge that we all share of the PLAN, realizing that Elder Benedict has now going on to an even greater mission and is preparing their mansion for he and his lovely companion.
