Virgil Lloyd Obituary
1935 ~ 2012
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Virgil Ray Lloyd, passed away surrounded by family on February 27, 2012. Born December 2, 1935 to Bryant and Nora R. Cowdell Lloyd. Married Sandra Raydean Young on August 1, 1958 in Sandy, Utah. Their
marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served his country honorably during the Korean War. He was a skilled craftsman, always building and improving, never without a project. He loved the outdoors, particularly fishing and camping with his family, especially with his "best friend," his son, Ryan. He was a dedicated husband and loving father, living life to the fullest. Survived by his wife, Sandy, and his son, Ryan (Christina) and four grandchildren; daughter, Toni (Paul) Barney and two grandchildren; brother, Neldon and sister, Laura. Preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bryant LaVar. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2012 in the Sandy Crescent Ridge 6th Ward, 11164 S. Londonderry Drive (1515 E) at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street and one hour prior to services, at the church. Interment, Riverton City Cemetery.

Sandy, Ryan we are deeply sadden for the lost of your husband, father and grandfather. He was a great person, and will be missed, but I know that he is not suffering anymore, and in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Thankful for the knowledge we have of a here after, knowing that you all will be able to see him again.

aunt sandy, please know that i am thinking about you and know that you are in my prayers. i have some great memories of growing up around you and uncle virg. i feel bad that we are so far away and unable to attend the services.
