Daniel Taylor Obituary
Des Moines
Daniel (Dano) Taylor, 60, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 13, 2014, at his home in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Altoona Christian Church located at 2890 1st Ave. S. , Altoona. Cremation rites will follow the service. Visitation will be held at Iles Grandview Park Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5-7 P.M.
Daniel was born on February 10, 1954, in Des Moines, Iowa to Roy and Juanita (Rush) Taylor, and lived in Des Moines most of his life.
Dano loved Nascar racing, his 1966 Corvette, restoring old cars, his two puppies and spending time with family and friends. Dano loved working on all cars, especially for his many friends and family until he was disabled at the young age of 54 and no longer able to continue his passion. Dano worked at Mitchell Transmission for many years, then at Iowa Muffler and Brake, and finally, at Imperial RV in Ankeny.
He was preceded in death by his Wife Patricia, his Father Roy, his Sister Maurita and two Brothers Harvey and John Taylor. Left to cherish his memory are his Daughter Dawn Taylor and Grandson Camden Shaver, both of Overland Park, KS, his Mother and Step-Father
Juanita (Earl) Robinson of Wesley, his Sister Carol (Mike) Nieters, his Brother Bill (Vicki) Taylor, Step-Grandchildren Andrew and Emma as well as his nieces, nephews and many friends.
Online condolences can be made at Iles Grandview Funeral Home. Donations can be made to Animal Rescue League.
