Adel
On June 7, 2013 JoAnne passed into her eternal life with Christ at Adel Acres in Adel, IA where she has been surrounded by family and her extended family.
She was born April 22, 1931 to Della and Glen Powers. She was married to her devoted husband Francis Glen McGee September 15, 1951. She was a housewife, loved sports-football in particular.
She is survived by her husband, Glen; daughter, Glenice (Lenard) Purscell; son, Dana; sister, Marilyn; brother, George; Grandchildren, Heather Weicht, Travis (De Angela) Purscell, Cheri (Andrew) Rice; twelve Great-Grandchildren and two Great-Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and a brother.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 10, at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel with burial at Fairview Cemetery near DeSoto. Friends may call after noon Sunday at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m. with a prayer service at 5 p.m.
Memorial contributions can be directed to Adel Acres or Iowa Hospice in Panora, IA. Online condolences may be left at mccalleyfuneralhome.com.
