David Lowery Obituary

David Paul Lowery passed away Monday, May 25, 2009, after a long illness with multiple myeloma cancer.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday in the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark.
Memorials: Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County, Box 2144, Fort Worth, Texas 76113.
David Lowery was born Dec. 24, 1945, in Fort Worth. Before his disability, David was the owner/operator of Lowery Trucking. David was known by his family and friends as a compassionate, kind and very loving person who was very faithful in his walk with God. David believed in giving back through blood donations at Carter Blood Bank, volunteer work at the Fort Worth Public Library, Union Gospel Mission, James L. West Alzheimer Center and Broadway Baptist Church. David filled his life with the love of jazz, writing poetry, and hours of drawing.
Survivors: Children, Kimberland Jerome of Trinidad, West Indies, DeeAnna Lowery of Key West, Fla., John Lowery of Fredericksburg, Va., and Joseph Lowery of Orange, Wash.; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce McReynolds and Sharon Holt; brother, Jerry Ivy; and numerous nephews, nieces and friends all over the country.

It's hard to believe David is with the Lord now. So sorry for the families loss as well as his friends loss. I was a volunteer with David at Broadway Baptist Church on Thursday nights. He will be greatly missed. Until we meet again in Heaven, David.
