John Edwin Mullins EULESS -- It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce John Edwin Mullins of Euless, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. SERVICE: Family graveside Saturday, February 3rd, at Green Grove Cemetery Old Union, Union County, Ark. John was born to Mac Henry and Edna Margaret Combs Mullins in Red Bluff, Ark. on February 22, 1928. He attended Jacksonville College and graduated in 1947 from Stephen F. Austin and later received his Masters from UNT. He was ordained that same year, into the ministry by Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Ashdown, Ark. He married the love of his life, Blondell Murphy on March 28, 1953, in Huttig, Ark. As a Bi-vocational Pastor, he had a passion for both Ministry, as well as, Education and loved investing time in his students, especially through driver's education. After 20 years of teaching, he retired from HEB-ISD, to open ABC Drivers Education, where he impacted the lives of youth for another 10 years. He took such pleasure in hunting, fishing, feeding the birds and squirrels in his backyard, yard work and long daily walks up until his last few months, or just about anything else outdoors. More than anything he loved spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his wife, Blondell Murphy Mullins; parents, Mac and Edna Combs Mullins; his brothers, Pete Mullins and David Mullins; his sister, Dorothy Maxine Mullins; as well as son-in-law, Bobby Wayne Dunavin. SURVIVORS: He is survived by his three daughters, Debbie Mullins, Sheila Parsons and her husband, Rusty and Tammy Sheppard and husband, Scott. Along with nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Lou Bourns.
