Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday, March 10, in Biggers Funeral Chapel.
Memorials: Community Hospice of Texas, 6100 Western Place #500, Fort Worth, Texas 76107.
Although her life was tragically cut short, she continued to find humor in daily situations. She was a patient and caring woman who strived to teach her daughters and granddaughter the importance of being independent. She enjoyed her work as an office manager for JRP Transportation and the people she worked closely with for the last 20 years. In her free time, she loved to bake, knit baby afghans and spend time with her family. Kathy will be missed terribly by all that knew and loved her.

I am sorry and sad to say I didn't even know Kathy had passed. When you leave home (Vestaburg) like I did when I was 21 you tend to forget many people. I guess living so far away in Alaska for so long and then California you just lose touch. I remember Kathy from our class and remember her as being always a nice person. I am sad yet another of our crazy class is gone. I doubt half of us are left now.

Although I never met Kathy she like my Aunt had to endure the same terrible disease and a great cook as well. I really miss her each day and some days are better than others but the spirit that I feel from reading your story on your Mom is powerful and I can just say to look to GOd for the lonely days ahead and never give up on faith in God because he will take care of you and one day we all will be joined together never having to say good bye anymore but we will jsut walk around praising him all day long. God Bless you is my prayer.

To the family of Kathy: I went to elementary and junior high school with Kathy. I have very fond memories of her and know that you do as well. She will be greatly missed. I last saw Kathy when she returned to Walkerville Mi. and we were able to have lunch with her. We had a lot of fun growing up together.

Paula and family,
Your mother did leave behind three wonderful girls and she is now and forever a part of you. Knowing you girls helps anyone who may not have known your mother to see what a special lady she was. My heart hurts deeply for you at this time and I hope that you feel all of the love sent forth by those who care so much for you.
Find comfort in the memories and cry both sad and happy tears.
All my love to you Paula, Jody, Nikki, Tristen, Tim and family.

No matter the moment, she will be there. May you find comfort through the loving arms of those around you.

I didn't get to spend much time with Aunt Kathy, since I lived in Michigan; however I have wonderful memories of her and she always made me laugh when we visited. I remember brief visits in Indiana when picking up the girls to go to Georgia every summer. She made my daughter a wonderful blanket that we will keep forever to remind me of her. Although I'm distant from the girls I will always be here for my cousins, in good times & bad.
Our wishes!!!!

You are my Hero Kathy. You’re one of only a few that can accomplish what you did. You gave unconditional love to everyone around you. You put everyone’s needs in front of your own. I am so proud to be apart of you’re family & will defend you're legacy to the end. I love & miss you deeply.

Jody...
Although I only met your mom a handful of times, she was always such an accepting woman. She also must have been an incredible woman to have raised such a beautiful and caring daughter. I know she must be smiling down on you and your sisters today and always.
I can only imagine how difficult this must be, but I will be here if you need me. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Kathy - In the much too brief time that I knew you, I learned what a kind and humorous person you were. I'm having a hard time accepting that I won't have more time to develop that relationship, but I am at least thankful that I came into Jody's life while you were still here. You don't need to worry about your middle daughter...I'm always going to take care of her!

Kathy, I love you and miss you so much. Thank you for leaving us with three beautiful daughters and a granddaughter to remind us of you. In case I never told you, I'm sorry for telling mother and daddy on you when you snuck that mini-skirt to school and changed into it after they forbade you to wear it. I hope you forgive me. Love you always.

To my big sis....we'll miss you so much. You didn't get to tell Mom good-bye before she died, but you are now the first of us to get to see her again. I'll always treasure my memories of you, how when we would fight as kids, it was always you and me against Kim and Mike....LOL....I think we've finally outgrown that, though. I'll miss you but I'll see you again someday. You are now in a much better place and completely pain free. Say 'Hi' to Mom for us!!
