Fort Worth, Texas - On Tuesday, May 10, 2022, Kenneth Goy Cochran, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away at the age of 90.
Kenneth was born on February 13, 1932 in Fort Worth, Texas to Goy and Willie Cochran. A lifelong resident of Tarrant County, Kenneth graduated in 1949 from Paschal High School and was a member of the 1949 Basketball State Championship team coached by Charlie Turner. On June 10, 1950, Kenneth married his highschool sweetheart, Gayle Carter, in a small private ceremony. They raised two children, Kurt and Karen. After a long and varied career, Kenneth retired after 30 years as an Exxon Dealer. For the past 27 years, he was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Kenneth's family meant everything to him. His love, support, and pride in his family was evident in everything he did. Kenneth is preceded in death by parents and younger brother, W.L. Cochran. He is survived by son Kurt and wife Rosann Cochran, daughter Karen Poxon and husband Jeff, grandchildren Leah Cochran, Carter Cochran, John Cochran, Christopher Sierra, and Ken Sierra, and great-grandchildren Dylan Cochran, Landon Cochran, Ryan Sierra, Kate Sierra, and Corey Johnson-Cochran.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022 at St. Paul Lutheran Church located at 1800 West Freeway, Fort Worth, Texas at 10 o'clock a.m. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
