Mary Sue Ray
February 17, 1930 - July 27, 2022
Fort Worth, Texas - Mary Sue Ray, 92, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022.
Mary Sue was born February 17, 1930 in El Paso, Texas to Nora Sue and William Ray. A lifelong Fort Worth resident, she graduated from Polytechnic High School and NTSU. Her career was dedicated to music education. She taught in the classroom for years and then moved into administration of the FWISD elementary music program.
An avid traveler, she enjoyed trips to Europe, across the USA and Canada including Heli-Hiking on glaciers with close friend Mary Lou Robertson. Her last trips were with a group of friends called the "Traveling Five."
Mary Sue was an active lifelong member of Polytechnic United Methodist Church serving in many leadership roles and singing in the choir.
Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m. Friday August 5, 2022 in the chapel of Lakewood Village, Christian Care Community, 5100 Randol Mill Road.
Memorials: Meadowbrook-Poly UMC, 3900 Meadowbrook Dr. FW.
