Dear Mrs. Toney and family:
Donald was one of the nicest men I have ever met. I worked at Beatty Recreation Center and had the pleasure of meeting him when he came to the center for table tennis. I know he made an impact on many young peoples' lives and he will be deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Aunt Margaret Ann, Mike and Wendell and their families,
Our hearts ache for you, dear family, for the tremendous loss you have suffered. You don't get over it, you just get through it; but know that you do not grieve alone. Uncle Donald was a man of great faith and wisdom, strong yet gentle, a teddy bear of a man, a "Man Among Men", and a class act. He never failed us or you --- celebrating our success, overlooking our shortcomings, always there. We loved him dearly, we love you too and hold you close.

I was so sorry to read of Mr. Toney's passing. You both were wonderful neighbors to have when I used to live across the street from you on Hickory Hill Dr. Nolan has since moved to New York to be with his mother after his father's passing. To The Family: I was so sorry to hear of Don's passing. I got to know him through the Hilliard Horseshoe Club over the past 3 years. He was always a gentleman. We would have many discussions over family and softball, as well as horseshoes. He was a kind man and I will miss him. God Bless.
