Junetta Williams-Benjamin Obituary

Williams-Benjamin Junetta Marcell Williams-Benjamin, one of the most beautiful souls I have ever known is no longer here. She passed away late at night on February 2, 2016. She was 22 years old, born on June 20, 1993 in Columbus, Oh. She was adopted by her beloved parents Shirley and David Benjamin of Hilliard, where she grew up. Junetta was met in heaven by both her adoptive and biological fathers David Benjamin and Larry J. Williams, as well as her foster sister Larissa Slone. "Nettie" was taken from her only child, Baby Zyler, during a fatal head on collision. She also left behind her sisters, Jayde, Jessica, Justina, Annie, Pamela, Billie Jo, and Jackie; as well as her brother, Larry Jr. While Nettie had many beloved nieces and nephews, Carter and Greer held very special places in her heart. The siblings are spread all over but the Hilliard Community is such an important part in all of their lives. Nettie graduated from Hilliard Darby High School in 2012 where she played volleyball, basketball, and track. After school she worked for the Billman Family whom she cared for and respected very much. Her son Zyler is going to be told day after day what an impact his mother made on so many people's lives and we plan to always remind him of exactly who this amazing young woman was. Loved is an understatement when it comes to her, so many people truly cherished Nettie's presence in their lives. Never a day went by or an obstacle crossed that Nettie wasn't smiling through or finding the lesson learned. Her heart was just about as big as her personality and as bright as her beautiful eyes. We are beyond grateful and appreciative for those of you that have shared and/or donated to her and baby Zyler's Go Fund Me account as well as the support and prayers from the community and loved ones. www.gofundme.com/nettiezyler Love and support will surround our family this Sunday, February 7, at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME in Old Hilliard, 5265 Norwich Street. Her showing will be from 2-5 p.m. Funeral Service to follow on Monday, February 8, at 10 a.m. at Cypress Wesleyan Church, 377 Alton Darby Creek Road., Galloway, OH 43119. A year has pasted since Nettie left us all with a large hole in our hearts. I think of her often with a tear in my eye and then talk to my daughter (Jaclyn) who tells me about all the fun (and crazy) things they did together and it brings a smile to my face. I believe I will always be sad when remembering Nettie and that God called her home way to early for my liking. Bless you sweet angel.

Our prayers go out to this family during this time of great sorrow. Junetta was a lovely young lady. She visited our house many times with my daughter, Selena Perez. My daughter lost a part of her heart when she lost her best friend. We pray that the family will find peace and guidance through the Lord now and forever. We know that Zyler will learn what a beautiful woman his mother was. Rest in peace Nettie, we will forever keep you in our thoughts and in our hearts. Deeply missed by Bill, Mary and Brydon.

Junetta was a beautiful girl and a good friend to my daughter, Kelley. She came to our home many times. The last time was to show us her little boy. We are stunned at her loss. Our prayers go out to all her family and friends. We do not know why things like this must happen, but with God's help and guidance everyone will get thru. Keep the faith and be strong. We won't forget her. God bless all of you.

I did not know Nettie nor the family but it's obvious that she was a very special girl. I know she was deeply loved by my future daughter-in-law Cheyenne Hamaker and touched her life for many years. My thoughts and prayers have been with the family.

I can't even imagine how hard it is for Nettie's family, since the rest of us are in shock. She touched so many lives in such a deep special way that there was no way you couldn't love her. I was blessed to know Nettie from a young age. She was my daughter's best friend and I always thought of her as family. My heart and prayers go out to her family, especially her beautiful baby boy. Nettie may be gone for now, but she will never be forgotten.

To All of Nettie's Family - my prayers go out to you during this difficult time. I knew Nettie as my niece Jaclyn's (Williams) best friend. We saw Nettie at many family functions and High School events. She was always with a smile and we enjoyed her being with us. I hope God's love wraps around all of you and gives you comfort now and always.

Nettie was an exquisite person that I feel blessed to have known. She was such a wonderful friend to Maggie, like a guardian angel to her. We were lucky enough to have her and Zyler over for an evening two weeks ago and it's a memory that I will cherish forever! Nettie may your beautiful wings spread for you to soar thru the heavens and guide and protect us all until we meet you at home. Keep smiling... it looks good on you! Love and prayers, Emily & Maggie Hoooker

I grew up down the street from Nettie. I was super shy and had a hard time making friends and she befriended me. She was always the nicest sweetest girl and I have so many fond memories of her. RIP Nettie

Nettie was a beautiful young woman inside and out. I had the privilege of seeing her grow from a sixth grader into a caring, compassionate, loving, friendly young woman. Her smile was radiant. She had a way of touching your soul and bringing out the good in others. Nettie, you will be missed.
