Dear Ernie,

We loved your mom and dad! And we felt so loved by them. They were our dearer- than- dear friends when we moved to pastor in Westerville from 1973 -76. We just kind of connected, and that friendship lasted for many years, even after we moved away. They attended so many of our family celebrations. One of the nicest things Meriam would do for us was to send those great pictures from the events, so we know that many of our scrapbooks are filled with pictures that she sent us. Of course, we were involved with her Still Going Strong group, not as part of those trips, but she always wanted to have prayer at the start of the trips. She often asked Jing to be fulfill that privilege. Paul and Meriam were the best down-home- friends to us; we visited more during their active years when we all were still able to travel. We loved them both as our faithful friends !

I have fond memories of Paul and Meriam. During my Jr High years, we lived near the church (Messiah). My brother and I would sit with Paul and Meriam every Sunday morning at 8:15am. They were such a blessing!

Even through difficult times, Meriam was able to remain cheerful. Her mind was sharp and she was always interested in what was happening around her. We will miss her.

One of my favorite memories of teaching was bringing the Westerville North Notables to perform at the annual Still-Going-Strong Christmas luncheon. Meriam was the organizer of that event, and always made us feel so special! Thank you, Meriam; you made Westerville a better place!
