Walker Robert Paul Walker, 68, of Whitehall, died unexpectedly June 19, 2017 after courageous 4 month battle with colon cancer. Born April 17, 1949, in Columbus, to the late Paul W and Florence E (Getreu) Walker. Graduate Ohio State University, 1972, BS in Electrical Engineering. Owner Walker Music & Electronics (originally O'Day Music, Town & Country Shopping Center) for 47years. Professional guitarist in Columbus bands, pioneer of Columbus contemporary Catholic guitar music. Member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. Survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Catherine (Clifford); daughters, Allison and Caitlin, of Columbus, Megan (Jared) Cooper, of Westerville; grandchildren, MacKenzie, Aidan, Riley; sister, Mary Jones, of Whitehall; brother, John Walker, of Pueblo, CO; many nieces, nephews, cousins. Calling hours 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, and 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, at EVANS FUNERAL HOMe, 4171 E. Livingston Ave, Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12 noon, St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 1573 Elaine Rd, Whitehall. Interment follows at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne. Celebration of Life party with guitars and food honoring Bob's love of family, friends and music, 4-8 p.m, Heimat Haus Party Barn, 4555 Jackson Pike, Grove City.
