Timothy Caudill Obituary

Caudill Timothy Lee Caudill, age 50, of Pickerington, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. He was born on September 28, 1962 to the late Clarence and Margret Caudill of Columbus, Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Lisa Kay Caudill; three daughters, Megan Glyn Caudill, Lauren Kay Caudill and Kylie Paige Caudill; two brothers, Donald (Phyllis) Ray Caudill, and David Keith Caudill; sister, Patricia Kaye Caudill (deceased) and a special God-son Jacob "Jake" Scott Harris; a host of loving family members, numerous fellow service members from the 121st Air Refueling Wing, Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base, a multitude of friends, and his 3 furry companions, Chandler, Storm and Sadie. Tim proudly served in the United States Air Force for over 31 years as Senior Master Sergeant Caudill. He began his military career on active duty as a munitions specialist serving on a tour in Japan while assigned to the 305th Air Refueling Wing, Grissom AFB, Indiana. During his active duty service he was stationed in numerous locations across the United States and abroad. Following active duty he transitioned to the Air National Guard, where he served as an In-flight Refueling Technician with the 160th Air Refueling Group, attached to the 145th Air Refueling Squadron, Columbus, Ohio. During the span of Tim's military career he served during the Gulf War in support of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Tim was most recently assigned to the 121st Air Refueling Wing as the Safety Superintendant. Tim was an active member of C3 Church Pickerington, Ohio and served on the Leadership Team as well as serving as an usher, board member and in children's ministry. Friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013 at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Road N. (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington Ohio. The service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Peace United Methodist Church, 235 Diley Road NW, Pickerington. Burial will follow at Franklin Hills Memorial Gardens, Canal Winchester, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to C3 Church, 200 Hill Road, Pickerington, Ohio 43147 payable to the Caudill Family to offset medical expenses. A special thank you is extended to the staff of Mount Carmel Hospice and AlterCare of Canal Winchester for their care, compassion and treatment of our beloved "Timbo".

Kathie and I are so sorry for your loss. I wish I had personally known Tim, he touched many lives. I was touched by the memorial service today. I know you have the Blessed Assurance knowing where Tim is and that one day you will all see him again. Once again thanks for sharing his life with those of us who did not know him. We see what so many others were blessed by. Be blessed.

It was an honor to serve with Tim in the 145th Air Refueling Squadron. He was the ultimate professional and a truly "good" guy. He would do anything for others, and will be missed. My deepest condolences to Lisa and the family.

My goodness, how you'll be missed, Timbo! It was my great fortune to serve with Tim for many years, both as an air crew member and in the safety office. Tim simply excelled at everything he was tasked to do, and he always went above and beyond. Senior Msgt Caudill was an extraordinary individual who left an incredible impression on anyone who ever knew him. I have been honored to know and work with him. Rest in peace, my friend.
