David Ferrell Obituary
Albuquerque, NM - David Timothy Ferrell, 61, Social Security Administration Paralegal, died Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at his residence in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, January 21, at 3:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Joe Rushing and Lyndall Propst officiating. Inurnment will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to Boys & Girls Club of Maury County, 210 West Eighth Street, Columbia, TN 38401 or The King's Daughters' School, 412 West Ninth Street, Columbia, TN 38401. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born May 25, 1956, he was the son of Frances Jewell Watkins Ferrell of Columbia and Glenn Doak Ferrell who died January 16, 2018. David was a graduate of Oakland High School in Murfreesboro and attended Middle Tennessee State University. He had served as an Air Traffic Controller in the U. S. Air Force.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister & brother-in-law, Glenda & Tim Dodd of Columbia; and nephews, Matthew William Dodd of Murfreesboro and Daniel Ferrell Dodd of Knoxville.

To the family of Dave,
I was his co-worker for 3 years. Dave was so kind and had a great sense of humor. I miss him coming to my desk and us laughing so hard, exaggerating stories and just having fun. After lunch sometimes, he'd bring me a cupcake from the bakery across the street, or he'd hold out his hand and offer a lollipop (he had one in every flavor). I'm thankful to have met and worked with Dave. My prayers are extended to all of you.

My co-worker and friend with a great sense of humor. I miss you brother. I remember when you first moved here, I had you at my house for Thanksgiving with me and my family.
