Donald Ward Obituary
Donald Lee Ward, age 55 of Christiana, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at Middle TN Medical Center. Donald was born in Fayetteville, TN to the late Thomas "Tommy" Ward and Margaret Ward, who survives, and was a 1973 graduate of Moore County High School. He was owner of WW Plumbing; longtime member of County Line Baptist Church; member of The Ward Family Gospel group; active Riverdale Baseball Family member and past president; and member of American Beefalo Association.
Donald was preceded in death by his father and brother, David Ward.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ward; son, Matthew Ward; mother; sisters, Linda (Paul) Young of Fayetteville, Deborah (Chris) Ledbetter of Fayetteville, Jane (Greg) McAnally of Tullahoma, Nancy (Jimbo) Reese of Lynchburg, Nell (Paul) Green of Lynchburg and Betty McCreary of Tullahoma; brothers, Robert (Edwina) Ward of Woodbury and James (Valerie) Ward of Lynchburg; sisters-in-law, Kim Ward of Tullahoma and Barbara (Doug) Cootes of Winter Haven, FL; brothers-in-law, Larry (Sherrie) Roberts of Tullahoma, David (Donna) Roberts of Powell, TN and Tim (Lisa) Roberts of Unionville, TN; father and mother-in-law, Clyde and Dot Roberts of Shelbyville, TN; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, March 14, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Roberts officiating. Graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Moore County.
Donations may be made to County Line Baptist Church.
