I know that BB is up in heaven with my Mama, Uncle Ray, and Aunt Mildred. He is riding his motorcycles (2 Kawasaki 900's that we bought in 1979 that he said that he would love to have back). He can drive as fast as he wants to go without dogs running out in front of him or any type of injury.
Because of his daddy and uncles, he never wanted to do any other work than to be a Dothan policeman. He loved working with his fellow policeman "to protect and serve" the town of Dothan.
BB had a great capacity to love his true friends and would have walked through fire to help one of them. We will miss his (quirky) sense of humor and his true loyalty to his friends, family, and co-workers at the Dothan Police Department and at Azar's.
Brian Brackin: I loved you as Marty's best friend and as a "neighborhood friend" and have loved you as a husband and great friend since I was 19 years old. (You never hear of a "friendly" divorce except ours!). I will miss not seeing or hearing from you. It will be such a loss to go back to Dothan and to know that you aren't there somewhere waiting to come by the house.
I am so thankful that we had those last few days together at UAB when you could still communicate with me. It's hard to let go of somebody that you love, but I think it's even harder to let go of somebody who loves you. It means the world to me that you told me that you loved me everyday in Birmingham and that it was one of the last things that you were able to say before you lost total consciousness.
Goodbye, Sweetheart. I'll see you on the other side.
Love,
Sandy (Munchkin / Wife Number One)

May the Brackin family look back with fondness and find comfort in their precious memories of Brian and find a measure of peace in God's Word.
