I worked at the clinic many, many (many) years ago as receptionist. Dr. Silver cared for many of my pets during that time, gratis. He was a gentleman and a gentle man. It was easy to work for him. I have good memories of that time. Thanks.

Bert was such a caring and compassionate person we shared a love of animals with him as he always took the best care of our dogs. He will always be remembered as a kind and thoughtful person who put others before himself. He will never be forgotten. I grew up with his kids and have known the family for more than 30 years. He will remain forever in our hearts.

Very Sad news. Dr. Silver and Florance were like members of our family. He took care of all of our pets and was there to advise us. There was much love between his family and ours. Florence and Bert were there for us all the time. They will remain forever in our hearts.

What a huge loss to the community. I have known him for over 20 years and what an amazing person he was. Bert and my mom shared a special bond with the animals. He was dedicated veterinarian. He and his wife Florence were a real treasure they will be sincerely missed. So sad to see the notice.

Bert and Florence were some of the nicest people. That I ever had the pleasure of meeting. They were always happy to help and lend a hand. I will miss them.

We are very sorry to hear of Bert's passing. We remember fondly riding bikes along with both Bert and Florence, numerous camping trips, and spending some very nice times with them at their "second home" at Lake Tahoe. All good memories. Our condolences to the rest of Bert's family.

I was a kennel cleaner for Dr. Silver at Mission Valley Veterinary Center in 1976ish. He gave me my first real job. He was always very kind. Deepest condolences to his family and friends.
