Resident of Fairview Fire Protection District
Charles departed his earthly home on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Leaving to cherish his precious memory: three faithful and loving daughters: Ms. Denise Snipes (Hayward), Ms. Yvonne Hynes (Alameda), Mrs. Lyticia Banks (Mountain View); three adoring grandchildren: Brian Cato, Shelly Cato and Aleya Harris; four living siblings: Bill Snipes (Oakland), Bernice Williams (Ohio), John Snipes (Ohio) and Virginia Simmons (Ohio).
Charles served on the Hayward Unified School District Personnel Commission for over 20 years. He also served as President of the Fairview Community Club and was elected to the Fairview Fire Protection District as a Commissioner, serving as President five times. For over 40 years Charles was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of Hayward. Charles was also a 33degree Mason and a member of the Victoria Consistory No. 25 Lodge, Oakland, CA.
Funeral Services will be at 9 AM, Friday, July 20, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church, 1183 "B" Street, Hayward, CA. Internment immediately following at Lone Tree Cemetery, 24591 Fairview Ave, Hayward, CA.
