David J. Nyberg

DAVID J. NYBERG Born December 31, 1953, Dave was called home to be with Our Lord on January 5, 2007. Dave grew up in Alameda County and spent the majority of his life there. He served our community as a Deputy Sheriff for Alameda County and retired after 21 years of service. Dave enjoyed outdoor sports, running, working out as well as cooking and woodworking. He was an active member of Christ's Community Church of Hayward. Dave as a loyal friend who placed the needs of others before his own, and was always there to offer a helping hand whenever needed. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Nyberg; daughters, Kristen and Kimberly Nyberg and his mother, Evelyn Nyberg all of Hayward, as well as mother-in-law, Kathleen Hartman; brothers-in-law, Patrick Hartman and his wife, Rose and their son, John, of Hayward, Timothy Hartman of Portland, Oregon; nephew, William Hartman of Portland, Oregon; nieces, Alyssa Hartman of Stockton, California, Sarah Burrows and Julie Hartman and great-niece, Kylee Burrows all of Longview, Washington as well as many wonderful friends who he loved dearly. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Sorensen Bros. Mortuary, 1140 B Street in Hayward. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at Christ's Community Church, 25297 Kay Avenue, Hayward, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Christ's Community Church's Youth Fund.
