Jay Belcher Obituary

Jay C. (Cowboy) Belcher
Resident of Concord
Jay left this world for a better world on March 18, 2014 after a brave battle with cancer.
Jay was known as "Cowboy" to all his friends because of his love of western hats, shirts and boots. He was a familiar sight riding around town to check in on all his "people" every day. Jay was a friend to all and dearly loved by his family and will be missed.
Visitation is Monday, March 24th from 4 - 8 pm at Ouimet's Bros. Funeral Home, 4125 Clayton Road Concord. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 25th at 1PM at Memory Gardens in Concord.

My deepest sympathy to Jay's mom and family and also to his heartfelt brother- I am so sorry and know you must feel lost. I know how much you love him. I will say a prayer to ease your pain and help you through this sad time!

I remember spending a lot of times with Jay as he was part of the family, I especially remember the time that he went with us on a trip to Clearlake, and as we were going over the Benicia bridge he said a prayer for our safety on the trip and as it turned out something had hit the front end of our car on a really busy and sharp turn on the mountain and Jay got us out of the car and actually saved our lives. I will forever be grateful to him for that! Jay was a blessing in my life and he will be greatly missed. Jay I wish you peace and happiness as you begin your new life in heaven. I love you! See u soon!
