JOHN THOMAS PAWSON (Ret) First Lieutenant Army-Air Force, age 81. Passed away April 14, 2003 at his residence in Fallon of natural causes. John and his wife, Jean have lived in Fallon for 23 years, moving here from San Mateo, California. Born July 31, 1921 in California to William and Bridget (Higgins) Pawson. John was in the Army Air Force for 4 years, from 1942 to 1946. He was retired from the San Mateo Police force, where he had worked fro 20 years. He was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church. Preceded in death by parents, William and Bridget Pawson, brothers, Fred and Bill Pawson and sister, Dorothea. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Jean Pawson of Fallon, sons, Gjon Pawson and Eric C. Pawson both of San Mateo, California, grandchildren, John H. Pawson of San Mateo, Leslie J. M. Thomas of Washington, great grandson, Eric R. Thomas and sister, Barbara Cross of San Rafael, California. Visitation, Friday, April 18, 2003 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral Mass Saturday, April 19, 2003 at 3 p.m. at The Gardens Chapel. Funeral services Wednesday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m. at O'Connell Funeral Home in San Mateo, CA. Interment will follow service at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Coloma, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to CAPS, P.O.
