Marc loved almost everything about California. He drove there alone, from Wash.Univ.St Louis to U.C.Berkeley, in a $3,700 used Ford. He was not yet 21...He loved CA's diversity and freedom. He admired the public transit which, combined with idyllic climate, allowed him to walk where possible...Marc was a strong Oakland advocate, but was- in his last months- taking root in gentle Walnut Creek. If you passed him and just waved or spoke, know that he was delighted. A big heart, a big mind. A short life, but one full of outreach to others and one of high quality work...Glad if you miss him too!........his mom
