Martin Joseph "Marty" Sullivan

MARTIN JOSEPH (MARTY) SULLIVAN Passed away suddenly in his sleep on February 23, 2006. His loss is felt greatly by countless family members, friends, and co-workers who will sorely miss Marty's compassion, affection, spirit, and devilish sense of humor. Marty was born on October 19, 1948 in San Mateo, CA to Martin and Christine Sullivan. He grew up in San Mateo, loved sports, school, music and dancing. He graduated from Aragon in 1967. After graduation he served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Joseph Strauss. After the Navy Marty went to work in the grocery business, working for Ralphs/Cala Foods in San Francisco at the time of his death. His customers would wait in his line just to experience his wit and ever present smile. His friends will remember his funny sayings. Marty is survived by his daughter Dana and beloved granddaughter Jordan, his sons Kevin, Michael, and Eric, his wife Karen, loving mother Christine Sullivan, brother Roy (Janis) Sullivan, sisters Jo (Jim) Baugh, Hope (Alan) Sullivan, nieces Jennifer (Mike) niece Abigail, nephews Ryan, Shaun, his son Jeremy, his Aunt Peg and the entire Shea family and his ex wife Janet. He now joins his father, Martin Leo Sullivan, in eternal rest. A memorial service honoring Marty will be held at on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 2:00 PM at the Fremont United Methodist Church, 2950 Washington Blvd, Fremont, California. Time for sharing and refreshments immediately after. Donations to the Heart Association are preferred.
