Beverly L. (Rowdabaugh) Fisher-Yoder, 90, formerly of Waterford Crossing, entered Heaven, right into the arms of her Savior on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at home. Beverly entered Heaven peacefully surrounded by her family.
A born-again daughter of The King, Bev was born July 20, 1930, in North Manchester to William Floyd and Florence Hazel (Isley) Rowdabaugh.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Hagar and Cindy (Garry) Hattery, both of Goshen; a son, Bill (Sharon) Fisher, Aurora, Colorado; son-in-law, Dorn Nichols, Goshen; daughter-in-law, Ramona Fisher, Goshen; three step-daughters, Laura (Bob) Holloway, West Chester, Pennsylvania, Mary Lou (Jeff) Douglas, Tallahassee, Florida, and Margaret Ann (Bud) Barnell, Seneca Falls, New York; two step-sons, James (Lois) Yoder, Middlebury, and Edwin (Teresa) Yoder, Goshen; 12 grandchildren, Victor (Michelle) Hagar, Valerie (Kevin) Chupp, Margaret (Matt) Stump, Woody (Erin) Hagar, Brie (Noah) Tonk, Ben (Jewell) Fisher, Jason (Cassie) Fisher, Jennifer (Mike) Ponko, Jill (David) May, Matt (Alex) Parker, Josh Parker and Bethany Parker; 15 step-grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 23 step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Ralph L. Fisher and Joseph W. Yoder; a daughter, Ginny Nichols; a son, R. Fred Fisher; siblings, Imogene and Bill Rowdabaugh; and son-in-law, Joe Hagar.
As a child, Bev lived on a farm with her parents that was originally homesteaded by her great-great-grandparents. She was in 4-H, learned to play piano and sew as a young girl. She married Lowell Fisher on July 24, 1948, and they raised their five children on a farm southeast of Goshen. She loved animals and farmed alongside her husband for 40 years.
Lowell died in 1988. She married Bill Yoder in 1990. They enjoyed traveling and eventually moved to a condo at Waterford Crossing, Goshen, where she was involved in many activities. Bill died in 2014 and in 2015 Bev moved to assisted living.
Bev was a member of Rock Run Church of the Brethren for 65 years, where she played organ and piano and served God and her church family faithfully. She was also a member of the Fairfield Homemakers. She treasured time with her family and friends.
She bought and moved into a home on the outskirts of Goshen in September of 2020 with her eldest daughter after COVID restrictions became even more rigid. She decided to live her remaining days her way. The last nine months of her life were filled with fun, food, family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, June 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. A private burial will take place at Baintertown Cemetery.
