I met Steve in 1968 when he tried to teach me accounting 101. He failed miserably at that, but we remained friends for the rest of his life. Steve and Gayle and Beth and I ate dinner at the Nevada on Friday nights quite a few times. As those who know him would easily understand, our conversations became increasingly intellectual after a couple of drinks.
Hopefully everybody who knew him liked him as much as I did. He deserved it.
