HENRY LEWIS

1933 - 2015

Henry Clay Lewis was born in Mississippi to Reverend Eugene and Rebecca Lewis on August 2, 1933. Henry was the tenth child of eleven siblings, seven brothers and three sisters. Henry was fondly known as "Wolfman" by friends. Henry served with the U. S. Army until his honorable discharge from Fort Bliss, TX on September 16, 1968. While in service he earned medals for Sharpshooter Carbine, National Defense Service Medal, and Good Conduct Metal. While making his home in El Paso for the next 47 years, Henry became an established entrepreneur running a nightclub and a barbershop for many years. Our Beloved Father, Brother, Grandfather, and Uncle went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 27, 2015 at around 3:30am. He was a resident of Ambrosio Guillen VA home in El Paso, TX. Henry is survived by son, Tyrone Lewis of New York; daughter, Talita Star Postell (Trent) of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Rosie Lee Lewis of Compton, CA; grandchildren, Tianna and Treven Postell; caregiver, Lupe Rom ero; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Services for Henry will be held is Friday, May 15, 2015 at 10:00am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave., El Paso, TX 79916.
