John James Isaac

John James Isaac passed away October 18, 2018 in Mexia, Texas at the age of 74. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. Shane Norcross officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Restlawn Memorial Park in El Paso, Texas.
Visitation with the family will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.
John, the fourth son of George and Minnie Isaac, was born on November 22, 1943 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. His life long career began in the apparel industry in 1962, sweeping floors. However, upper management soon recognized his potential and began promoting him right away. He became Supervisor at Farah's Paisano Plant, then Plant Manager at Farah's Northwest Plant. John was a consultant to well-known fashion designer, Perry Ellis. He was Vice-President of manufacturing at McGregor Corporation, Executive Vice-President of Operations at Thompson Company, President and CEO of Southbound Sourcing and President and CEO of JJ Isaac, Inc.
John also did consulting, in addition to having responsibilities for numerous apparel facilities throughout Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, United States and other offshore operations.
John was well respected by all who knew him for his integrity and honesty. He was a gentleman, had a "giagantic" kind spirit, generous to all and treated everyone the same. He was energetic and always full of life.
Of all John's achievements, he was most proud of his family. He loved them with everything in him. There was nothing that could compare to the happiness of being surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Minnie Isaac; and brother, William Isaac.
John is survived by his loving children, Sherry Alston and husband, Shannon, Debbie Yorek and husband, Glenn, John Isaac and wife, Denise, Tamara Laroux and husband, Rodney, Michael Isaac, Nick Isaac and Joseph Isaac and wife, Maria; grandchildren, Sarah Griffin and husband, Tommy, Ashlee Culverhouse and husband, Dustin, Cody Bizzell, Matt Isaac, Chase Isaac, Chris Isaac, Nicole Laroux, Danielle Laroux, Cashton Isaac, Gracie Isaac, Joseph Isaac, Jr. and Jaxon Isaac; great grandchildren, Peyton and Landon Isaac, Chloe, Casey and Camryn Culverhouse and Samantha Griffin; brothers, George Isaac and wife, Phyllis and Anthony Isaac; sister, Jeanette Ramey and husband, Doug; and a number of nieces and nephews.
