Dearest Mr. & Mrs. Rios and Richard,
I am so sorry for your loss. I met Rene in the 5th grade (1979-80) and we quickly became friends. While growing up, he was always a very good friend and was someone I could always count on to be there. Whether we were out playing racquetball, camping out at Ruidoso or taking a trip across Texas with his family, we always had a good time. I especially remember trying (unsuccessfully) to play referee between Rene and Ricky on more than one occasion. No matter what we were doing, Rene made growing up as a kid fun. I will always treasure the special memories that I have of him and our friendship. Rene will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Mr.& Mrs.Rios,
I am sincerely sorry to hear of your loss. I first met Rene on Altura at his Aunt's house and in 1984 (my grandmother lives across the street) and we became friends. He was the first boy I had a crush on and was happy to keep in contact with him through 1990. He is a beautiful and sweet soul and always made everyone laugh. May the thought of God being by his side comfort you in this extremely difficult time.
With love,
Melissa (Mendez) Neumann
