David A. Jennings

1953 - 2014

David Alan Jennings, 60, Washington, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, in St. Clair, after a long and courageous battle with bipolar disorder and depression.

David, son of the late Richard T. Jennings and wife Doris L., nee Cantrell, was born June 29, 1953, in Rolla.

David was an avid lover of art, music and literature. He was an expert treasure hunter, and loved finding antiques and collectible books. David spent most of his adult life in Seattle, Wash., a city he loved. He worked in retail sales in the floor covering industry. At one time, he owned his own floor covering and interior design business. David was an artist who worked in multiple mediums, from drawings, photography, sculpture and collage, under the name "Teino." He will be missed greatly, but remembered fondly. He had an infectious laugh, mischievous smile and a great heart. He cared deeply for his family and friends.

David is survived by one daughter, Jennifer M. Jennings and husband Gabriel Penfield, Oakland, Calif.; one brother, Stephen D. Jennings, Washington; two sisters-in-law, Jackie Jennings Middlecamp, nee Nickerson, Kansas City, Mo., and Marilyn F. Romines, Alexandria, Va; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard T. Jennings; mother, Doris L. Jennings Fowler; one brother, Dennis W. Jennings; and stepfather, G. Fred Fowler.

Memorials may be given to Harmony Clubhouse, 416 Market St., Washington, MO 63090.

A memorial service will be held in Washington in the near future.
