Chris was born on July 2, 1962 in Bernie, Missouri to William Elmer Christopher Black and Sondra Kay (Quinn) Black Francis. He graduated from Cape Central High School in 1980 and relocated from Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1983. Chris owned and operated a landscaping business and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Myra Kathleen (Call) Black; daughters, Tiffany Marie Reed, Ginger Lynette Chapman and Kristin Gayle Verdin; mother, Sondra; brother, Mike Black; sister, Belinda Kay Canady; and 5 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, William ; and grandmother, Carrie
A viewing will take place on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. with a service starting at 11 a.m. at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Spring Cemetery Rd., Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
