Richard Sneeringer Obituary

HANOVER Richard M. "Ric" Sneeringer, 72, entered into God's eternal care, Thursday, June 21, 2007, at his home. He was the husband of Darl M. "Sally" (Clouser) Sneeringer, his wife of 43 years. Born September 1, 1934, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Edward and Mussetta (Schuchart) Sneeringer. He was retired from Miller Chemical Co. in Hanover. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the 82nd Airborne during the Korean Conflict. "Ric" was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Hanover, American Legion, the Hanover Home Association, and a life member of the Hanover VFW. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are one son, Ty Sneeringer and his wife, Jeanie of Hanover; two grandchildren, Kacie and Luke Sneeringer; four sisters, Pauline Brown of New Oxford, Mary Bowling of Hanover, Carol Michnowicz of Santa Clara, Calif., and Suzanne Sanders of Hanover; and six brothers, Samuel Sneeringer of East Berlin, Mark Sneeringer, Albert Sneeringer, Robert Sneeringer, and Eugene Sneeringer, all of Hanover, and Stephen Sneeringer of New Oxford. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Agnes Sneeringer and Evelyn Hess; and three brothers, John Sneeringer, James Sneeringer, and Edwin Sneeringer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Hanover, with the Rev. John A. Szada, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent Cemetery, Hanover. Relatives and friends will be received Monday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown, with a prayer service to be held at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Ric, to St. Vincent de Paul Church, 220 Third St., Hanover, PA 17331; or to Sacred Heart Basilica, 30 Basilica Drive, Hanover, PA 17331.

Aunt Sally, Ty and Family, Was sorry to hear of Uncle Richard's death from Mom. I am so glad he is no longer suffering; but will miss him and that sheepish grin of his.
