Robert Babcock Obituary

Robert David Babcock
Bartlesville - Robert David Babcock, 77, of Bartlesville, OK died peacefully At Journey Home due to effects of Covid on February 10th, 2021 at 9:10am. Robert David Babcock was born to Charlie August and Faye Pauline Babcock April 4th, 1943 in Enid, Oklahoma. Robert attended college at Phillips University where he met his beautiful bride Cheryl Diane (RIP) and got married soon after graduation. Robert was stationed in Hawaii with the U.S. Army where David Christopher was born. The family moved to Bartlesville, OK where Robert was employed with Phillips Petroleum Company as an accountant. Soon Mary Beth was born. Robert so enjoyed playing golf, hunting with his bird dogs, and being an all around good and kind human being. A celebration of his life will be held in the future when we can gather safely in a social environment. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. Robert will be reunited with his beautiful wife Cheryl Diane Babcock (RIP) in the garden of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Bartlesville, OK. If you would like to honor our father we ask that you patronize or send contributions to Frank & Lola's Neighborhood Restaurant & Bar located at 200 E. 2nd St. Suite 1 Bartlesville, OK 74003 The reason we have chosen this is because if anyone at all knows our father, Frank & Lola's was truly Dad's 2nd family. He had his own bar-stool where he could swivel and greet everyone who walked through the door. This pandemic has affected restaurants in a way that has caused so much struggle and we know that our Father would want to do everything that he could to keep their doors open. It always brings smiles to our faces when we hear people say, "Your Dad is the Un-official Mayor of Bartlesville!" Another way to support our Dad is by supporting The Journey Home where he spent his last hours and they were so incredibly caring and kind. Purchase items on their supply list or make a monetary donation. https://www.thejourneyhomeok.org/contact-the-journey-home Dad was also a big fan of Woolaroc. Consider buying a membership in his name. I want to share a heart felt thank you and forever gratitude to Mindi Henry. If you know this human, thank her for loving our Dad. Our Dad has taught us some of the most amazing life lessons. We know for a fact that his beautiful spirit will live on through his community and especially at Frank & Lola's. Robert is survived by his children David and Mary Beth Babcock, his granddaughter Eva Babcock and his 2nd family and friends at Frank & Lola's.
