Carolyn Barfield Obituary
Fayetteville—Carolyn Dot Barfield, surrounded by her family, entered into heaven on November 30, 2018 and is now at peace with her Heavenly Father.
Carolyn will lovingly be remembered by her husband of 64 years, Franklin D. Barfield; their children, Kenneth Barfield, Bonnie Pena and husband, Joe, Robert Barfield and wife, Nancy, Angela Neal and husband, Chris. Carolyn will also be fondly remembered by her eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Carolyn was born on July 18, 1935 in Madison, NC. She graduated from O'Keefe High School in Atlanta, Georgia. She also met the love of her life in Atlanta.
Because of her husband's military career, Carolyn traveled and lived in many places and finally made Fayetteville her home in 1954.
Carolyn was a devout Christian and enjoyed attending and being involved in the ministries at Arran Lake Baptist Church.
Carolyn will be remembered for being a loyal wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her family brought her great joy. Her kind heart will be missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held at Rogers and Breece on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of Carolyn will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Arran Lake Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Carolyn's name to Arran Lake Baptist Church, 1130 Bingham Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Such a beautiful and loving Lady. For many years My highlight on Sunday Morning was greeting and Helping this lovely Lady out of her car because she would always give me such a warm hug. I know when it's my time to meet the Good Lord, Carolyn will be there to give me one of her big warm hugs. My prayers for the family during this time.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Aunt Dot was always special to me. Even though we lived far apart she was always in my heart. I am sure she has left a spot that can never be filled. Uncle Frank I send you my love and prayers. Kenneth, Bonnie, Robbie, and Angela when your mother dies so does a part of you. Your life will never be the same...your mother was wonderful! I love all of you.

So sorry to hear that Carolyn passed I know that you are grieved may God comfort you and give you the strength and grace that you need during this time and days to come. Carolyn was a prayer warrior you could count on her to pray for you and your family. She loved to talk about her family especially Robert. Will miss her hugs and prayers that encouraged me so much.
