I fondly remember Ernest as his pastor while serving at Vaughn Memorial. He and Myra were a great team and an inspiration to all who knew them. One of my favorite stories about Ernest was a medication he was to take each Sunday at 10am to help him stay awake during church. My wife Margaret and I fondly remember Ernest and are thankful for having known such a wonderful person. Our thoughts and prayers are extended to Myra and family.

As my neighbor, I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Wood since 1990. I will remember him as a southern gentleman, great story teller and a welcomed encounter for all those years of walking around Pine Hill Park. He will be greatly missed but always remembered. God Speed to you Mr. Wood.
