Minnie A. Walker

Minnie A. (Gramlick) Walker, 97, Attica, passed away in the Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center, Williamsport, on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016 at 12:50 p.m.
Minnie was born in Shattuc, Ill. on Oct. 2, 1919. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Dena Abel Gramlick. Minnie was raised in Sandoval, Ill. and graduated from Sandoval Community High School in 1937.
On Dec. 27, 1938, she married Clark Walker at Cape Girardeau, Mo. They later moved to Attica in 1959. Clark preceded Minnie in death on June 8, 1993.
Minnie formerly worked as a group leader at Radio Material Corp. in Attica for 24 years and 9 months.
Minnie was an active member of the Attica Christian Church, serving as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She also attended the Womens Meeting each month. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post # 52 of Attica; member of the Attica Business and Professional Women; Upper Level Senior Citizens. She was an avid bowler and bowled on the Seniors Bowling League at Shawnee Lanes in Attica.
Minnie leaves behind her daughter, Tamarah Ann (David) Bloyd, Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Mae Arnold, Centralia, Ill.; two grandsons, Nicholas (Rebecca) Bloyd and Nathan Bloyd; seven great-grandchildren, Makayla Lynn, Taylor Chantel, twins Hailey Marie and William Thomas, Zakary James, Mason Walker and Noah Andrew Bloyd. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Currington and five brothers, Harold, Roy, Howard, Frederick and Gene Gramlick.
Services were at the Attica Christian Church on Wednesday, Nov. 30 with Pastor Bob Elness officiating. Burial followed in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
