LaVerne H. Kreuser, age 75, of Fond du Lac died on Friday Nov.22, 2013 at home after a short battle with cancer. He was born on Feb. 12, 1938 in Germantown the son of the late Edward P. and Elizabeth Chesney Kreuser. He married Shirley Freitag at the catholic parsonage in Fond du Lac on April 23, 1955. LaVerne owned and operated his own service station, he loved being a mechanic. In 1980 he retired and then he made wood crafts and frequented the craft fairs. Shirley and LaVerne loved to go camping in their truck camper and traveled the United State extensively and were snowbirds for 33 years in Zephyrhills, FL. He enjoyed watching his birds in these latter years.

LaVerne is survived by his wife Shirley, two sons: LaVerne Jr."Butch" (fiance Mary Mattison) and Larry Kreuser both of FL, two daughters: Juliann (Jerold) Davison of Fond du Lac and Sheila (Rick) Willey of North Fond du Lac, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, three sisters: Beverly (Gerald) Marking of Campbellsport, Shirley (Dale) Michad of FL and Mary Jane (Richard) Scott of CA and his beloved Westie Annie, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, and one brother Edward Kreuser Jr. The Kreuser family would like to thank the caregivers of Agnesian Hospice Hope, West Team and a special thank you to Colleen. Per LaVerne's request cremation has taken place and committal services will be held at a later date at the Union Cemetery in Campbellsport.
