Dalton, MA. - Raymond E. Rouleau of Dalton, MA. and formerly of Fitchburg, MA. passed away peacefully on Saturday November 23, 2012 in Sugar Hill Assisted Living.
He was born in Fitchburg, MA. on March 7, 1917 the son of Armand and Valeda (LaFortune) Rouleau and lived in Fitchburg, MA. for many years. He was a manufacturing engineer for the former General Electric Co. in Fitchburg, MA. for 35 years retiring several years ago. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club at G.E., a member of both the Lunenburg and Fitchburg Seniors and a life member of the Eastwood Club in Fitchburg.
He is survived by his two daughters, Gail F. and her husband Edward Kerwood of Pittsfield, MA. and Sandra E. and her husband George Nelson of Leominster, MA., four grandchildren, Matthew and Kevin Kerwood and Christine Nelson- Sadowski and Pamela Bisceglia, 8 great-grandchildren, several nephews and nieces, five brothers, Leon Roulean of Fitchburg, MA., Robert Rouleau of Florida, Lester Rouleau of Georgia, Richard Rouleau of Florida, and David Rouleau of Florida, his sisters Cecile Gettens of Leomisnter, MA., and Muriel French in California. He was predeceased by two brothers, Francis and Alcide Rouleau and two sisters, Irene Boudreau and Yvette Barry. His wife of 69 years Thelma (Gravel) Rouleau died in 2010.
Rouleau - A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday November 30, 2012 at 11a.m. in Our Lady of The Lake Church, 1400 Main St., Leominster, MA. Interment will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery Fitchburg. There are no calling hours. The Lavery Chartrand & Alario Funeral Home at 99 Summer St. in Fitchburg, MA. is directing.
