of Leominster; 85

LEOMINSTER -- Doris Tata, 85, of Leominster, passed away on July 2, 2017, at UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, MA.

Doris was born on November 17, 1931, in Leominster, MA, to the late

Ovila and Dorilda (Champagne) Gagnon.

Doris enjoyed being active and spent a lot of time at Orchard Hills Athletic Club where she could be found taking Yoga and Zumba classes. She participated in a bowling league, enjoyed skiing, golfing, painting, attending Mass at St. Anna's Church, traveling with her twin and spending time with her family.

She was a 1949 graduate of St. Bernard's Central Catholic High School in Fitchburg, MA. In addition to raising her three children, Doris worked at Paragon Plastics and later the Leominster Public School system until her retirement.

Doris is survived by her sister, Theresa Rotondi, of Miami, FL, and two step-sisters; Jeanne Rouleau of Fitchburg, MA and Anita Frechette of Leominster, MA; three children and their spouses; Sharon and Marc Lamontagne of Windham, ME, Jayne and Philip Sokol, of Westminster, MA and Charles and Lisa Tata of Gardiner, ME; ten grandchildren, twenty two great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was peceded in death by her parents; Ovila and Dorilda Gagnon; her husband, Bernard V. Tata of Leominster; twin sister Dora Condon of British Columbia, Canada; and other siblings, Noella Charpentier of Leominster, MA, Lucien, Edgar, Lawrence and Michael Gagnon all of Leominster, MA and Henry Gagnon of Florida and step-sister Marie Cristofono of Leominster, MA and Jeanne Gaudet of Leominster.

TATA -- A Calling Hour will be held for Doris on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. in Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. in St. Anna's Church, 199 Lancaster St., Leominster, MA. Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster, MA.
