Leroy Stone Obituary
1958 - 2014 LOVELAND, COLO. Leroy H. Stone, 55, passed away on Monday, Oct. 13, 2014 at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland Colo. from a belief illness. He was born to the late James and Phyllis Stone of Sunderland, Vt. on Oct. 31, 1958. Leroy attended Sunderland Elementary, and then graduated from Arlington Memorial High School in 1977. He moved to Loveland, Colo. in 1978, where he met his wife, Linda and shared their life together. Leroy was an exceptional carpenter and mason, always striving for excellence in all his work. He was also an avid hunter, with a passion for the Rocky Mts. of Colo. and the Green Mts. of Vt. This was only surpassed by his love for family and friends. Leroy is survived by his wife, Linda Johnson of Loveland, Colo., two step-children; David Johnson and Melissa Wagy of Brighton, Colo., three step-grandchildren; Sierra, Mashaya, and Adin of Brighton, Colo., his daughter, Kandy Southworth of West Pawlet, Vt.; four grandchildren; Parker, Cole, Timothy, and Nickolas, of West Pawlet, Vt., six siblings; Mary Drown of Northfield, Vt., Rose Keough of Sunderland, Vt., Eugene Stone of West Arlington, Vt., Clifford Stone of Brandon, Vt., Diane Hawley of Arlington, Vt. and Helen Weller of Sunderland, Vt. He also is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Leroy is predeceased by his father, Jim Stone, his mother, Phyllis Stone, and his sister, LuLu Belle Wright. FUNERAL NOTICE: A private memorial has been planned for Leroy's family on November 1, 2014.
