Nancy Grover

Nancy Grover - Melbourne - Nancy Elizabeth Grover, 67, went home to God on Friday, March 27, 2009, at Holmes Regional Medical Center. Daughter of Frank and Marzella McCachren, she was born on March 19, 1942, and grew up in Johnstown, PA. She married her beloved husband, James Grover on August 13, 1965 and moved from Ohio to Merritt Island, FL. She received her Associates of Arts degree from Brevard Community College. Throughout her career, Nancy has lent her talents to companies such as PanAm and the City of Cocoa, where she was an Administrative Assistant for over 20 years. After retirement, she worked as an office manager at Village Plate Collector in Cocoa. She was a seasoned performer with the Cocoa Village Playhouse in a number of plays and musicals, where she was an accomplished actress and soloist. She and her husband were active members of Island Alliance Church, where Nancy was church caregiver; she visited and sent out weekly cards for the sick, for birthdays, anniversaries, funerals, and weddings. Nancy loved family, friends, church, animals, and helping others. Her glowing smile lit up a room, her infectious laugh made anyone smile, and her loving heart endeared her to all. In addition to being a loving wife, devoted sister, and humble servant of God, Nancy was a loving stepmother, aunt, and grandmother, whose spirit of strength and support will be greatly missed by all. Nancy is survived by her husband of 43 years, James Grover; her sister, Diane High of Levittown PA; stepsons, James Jr., Dave, and Bob Grover; nieces, Shannon de Araujo, Dawn Mackey, and Launa Young; nephew , Larry Brendle; and multiple grandchildren, great-nieces and nephews, and great- grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 2, 2009 from 2 to -3 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 3 p.m., at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home.
