Beverly Stage Obituary
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday (December 29) at the Weldon Funeral Home, 102 E. Main St., Penn Yan, followed by a Memorial Service at 1 p.m. and interment at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Hammondsport, N.Y.
Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Humane Society of Yates County, PO Box 12, Penn Yan, NY 14527 (or online at YatesHumane.org)
Beverly was born in Penn Yan on August 6, 1936, the daughter of Clifford and Pearl (McSwain) Swain. She worked 25 years at Westinghouse/North American Philips in Bath. Beverly loved playing Bingo and Euchre at St. Mark's Terrace in Penn Yan, where she resided for the past 6 years. She had many close friends there.
She is survived by her children, Kerry (Tom) Coon of Penn Yan and Jerry (LindaSue) of Tennessee; brother, Raymond (Ferolyn) Swain of Bath; four grandchildren, Amy Coon of Tennessee, Brian Coon of Penn Yan, Cassandra Stage of Waterloo, and Angel Grisham of Tennessee; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Stage in 1982; infant daughter, Karen Stage; and brothers and sister, Alton and Merle Wheadon, and Yvonne McConnell.
