Norman Donk Obituary

SAVANNAH - Norman E. Donk, 89 of Savannah, N.Y., passed peacefully on July 8, 2024.

He is survived by his brother Franklin Donk of Savannah, N.Y.; son Jeff (Shelly) White of Alabama; daughter Wendi (Tony) Forestiere of Maine, daughter Anne Marie (Tom) Beckham of Brooklyn, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Norm was born on March 2, 1935 in Savannah, N.Y. to Frances and Augustus Donk. He was predeceased by two sisters Shirley Mills and Eldine O'Hern; and his loving wife Barbara (Holmes) Donk.

Norm served his country in the U.S. Navy in Japan during the Korean War. He was a lifelong member of the V.F.W. And the American Legion. He retired from Jackson and Johnson Trucking in Savannah, N.Y. where he worked most of his life.

Norm was a motorcycle enthusiast who took great pride in his custom built Harley Davidson and loved to ride. He was a loving father, a doting husband, and a kind man who always kept his sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
