Rosaria Mantell Obituary
Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St., Geneva, on Thursday (August 30, 2018) from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Friday (August 31, 2018) in the funeral home and a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. in St. Francis de Sales Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions, in her memory, may be made to St Francis/St. Stephen's Education Fund or to the Center of Concern for the Food Pantry.
Rose was born in Geneva and was a lifelong resident. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Carmella Gringeri Bertino. She was employed for many years with the Finger Lakes Times in the Composing Room. Rose was an active member of Our Lady of Peace Parish where she was a Eucharist Minister and a member of the Stephen Ministry. She was an active volunteer at the Center of Concern for the Food Pantry.
She is survived by her son, Frank (Caroline) Mantell of Geneva; six daughters Katherine (Ed) George of Geneva, Mary (Darwin) Jepsen of Penn Yan, Melanie (Rick) Beaule of Windsor, CT, Toni (Paul) Symanski of Liberty, N.Y., Nancy Mantell of Geneva and Michelle (Vernon) Ficcaglia of Geneva; two sisters Catherine Liberio and Josephine Acquesta both of Geneva; eighteen grandchildren Michael and Kelly George, Frank, Sam and Lucy Mantell, Stephanie (Sean) Kokkeby, Jonathan (Shauna) Walczak, Jennifer Walczak, Ryan (Amanda) Beaule, Andy (Jill) Beaule, Katie Beaule, Christopher, Melissa, Maria and Paul Symanski, Sarah (Dan) Marino, Rachel and Giana Ficcaglia; ten great-grandchildren Mikala, Brayden, Grace, Augustine, Adeline, Benedict, Giovanni, Lola, Dominick and Olivia; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dominick Mantell; her sisters Mary Bertino, Frances Mathis; and her brother, Joseph Bertino.

Frank SORRY for your loss, she was a Wonderful Lady with Class... God received another Angel, I lost my mom in Feb. 93, hope we see it... I'm in St. Pete, Fl. 14 years purchased a condo 11 years ago doing OK hope you remember me George Augustine:)) (how can you forget) anyway say hi to your sister's take care God Bless Geo.

Mantell families,
I am so sorry about your mom. Your Rose was a wonderful lady. I really enjoyed getting to know her at the Seneca Lake Terrace. Always a welcoming smile and a hug and a kiss on the cheek. She and I got to be buds. I would do her fingernails for her sometimes and get some extra chat time. She definitely was one of my highlights to visit with when I went to visit my family.
