Thressa Speanburgh Obituary
Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life in her honor on Sunday, (June 11) from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Phelps American Legion.
Thressa was born June 9, 1926, in Wilmot PA, to the late Walter and Bertha Huffmaster Huffman. She worked at Sarah Coventry for many years until its closing, then went to work at G.W Lisk until she retired.
Thressa was proud to be the mother of five boys. She enjoyed walks in her neighborhood, attending Church, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed Wednesday evenings with her son Bob, and Sunday morning coffee with her son Frank. Sheila Maslyn was also a good friend and a great help to Thressa.
Thressa is survived by two sons, Frank Russell and Robert (Vivian) Russell; two sisters, Lucretia Way and Edna Morse; five grandchildren, Garrett, Jeremy, Tina, Chris and Erin; four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three sons, Joe, Rick and Dutch Russell; her daughter-in-law, Randy Bliven Russell, two sisters, Fern Denniston and Lorraine Fenton; and her brother, John Huffman.
It is requested that memorial donations be made in memory of Thressa to St. John's Episcopal Church, 32 E. Main Street, Clifton Springs, NY 14432.
Funeral arrangements have been made with the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps.

I have such wonderful memories of you from back in the 70s when I dated your son. You were always so kind to me and made me so comfortable in your home. You are wonderful cook and snack provider! And your son was so wonderful to me as well
