Beverly Ingmire

1931 - 2014

Beverly Ann Ingmire, 83, longtime area resident, died Friday, December 26, 2014 at her home in Fort Morgan. Beverly was born January 30, 1931 in Westboro, Missouri to Emmet and Alma (Meyer) Lefforge. She married Roy C. Ingmire on August 17, 1952 in Brush. He passed away in 2012. Beverly grew up in Missouri on the family farm and bravely adventured on her own to Colorado to attend Colorado State College of Education in Greeley. She taught second grade in Fleming, Colorado. Then married Roy and adventured again to live in Key West, Florida while Roy was in the Navy. Upon returning to Colorado, Beverly served as a substitute teacher and bookkeeper for the family business. Beverly was an active member of the First Christian Church in Fort Morgan and was a member of the church's Deborah Group who made and donated baby blankets to the hospital and supported a number of church functions. She was also a member and past president of the BPO Does. She enjoyed her family visits, traveling, camping, crafts, Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies as well as her Friday night card games with her best friends. She was a wonderful cook and after years of trying, no one in the family could beat or even match her potato salad recipe. Survivors include her children, Gary Ingmire and wife Laura, Richard Ingmire and wife Leta, and Pamela Ingmire and husband Ben Slater, sister, Mary Hubbard and husband Norm, brother, Max Lefforge and wife Pam, sisters-in-law Laura Ingmire and Maxine Galyk, grandchildren, Jamie Ingmire, Stacy Brownlee, Jennifer Simpson, Nicholas Ingmire, Stephani Harry, Joseph Ingmire, and Shay Slater, and five great grandchildren as well as many who called her Aunt Bev. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Roy, an infant daughter, brothers-in-law Elton Ingmire, Ralph Schilling, and Tony Galyk, sister-in-law, Donna Schilling and her parents. There will be a visitation Thursday, January 1, 2015 from 4 until 6 pm at the Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan. Funeral Services (closed-casket) will be Friday, January 2, 2015 at 10:30 am at the First Christian Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. Memorial Gifts may be made to the First Christian Church in Fort Morgan.
