DAVID SPRINGER Obituary

DAVID A. SPRINGER, 64, departed this life on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, all his suffering is now over and he is with his Lord Jesus Christ. Born in Chicago, Ill., a son of the late Freelon A. and Lois M. (Sch-neider) Springer. He was a 1970 Concordia Lutheran High School graduate, and was nurtured in his faith at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. He worked as an auto mechanic and was very talented at anything he set his mind to do. He loved I.U. basketball but especially NASCAR racing. He is survived by his son, Scott (Nichole) Springer; daughter, Aimee Springer; sisters, Jean (Barry) Light and Nancy Jeffers; ex-wife, Carolyn Springer; and two grandchildren, Abbey and Jack. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Springer. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 West Jefferson Blvd., with calling one hour prior. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to the church or American Stroke Association. www.covingtonmemorial.com
