Harold Boggs Obituary

HAROLD S. BOGGS, 79, of Tavares, Fla., since 2000, formerly of rural Allen County, died Tuesday evening, Jan. 18, 2005, at Ruleme Center, Eustis, Fla. He retired in 1983, as a drill press operator with International Harvester Co., Fort Wayne. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II. Born Sept. 8, 1925, in Allen County, he was a son of Adam S. and Mamie (Cross) Boggs. He was united in marriage Jan. 14, 1954, in Churubusco, to Marsaleete Shively, who survives. Also surviving are his sons, Steven E. Boggs of Fort Wayne and Jeffery L. (wife, MiSue) Boggs of Columbus, Ga.; brother, Richard (wife, Eleanor) Boggs of Tucson, Ariz.; sister, Sarah Leone "Susie" (husband, John) Stemen of Butler; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Service is 11 a.m. Monday at Sheets Childs Funeral Home, with Pastor Fred Wood-ward officiating. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Wayne. The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Condolences emailed to: [email protected]
